Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and prepare outbreak response reports
- Collaborate with community partners to coordinate vaccination and screening clinics
- Analyze public health data to identify trends and recommend intervention strategies
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide health consultations to residents and healthcare providers
- Represent the department at community events and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or equivalent credential
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong knowledge of local and state public health regulations
- Experience managing community outreach initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
