Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs targeting underserved communities
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data to identify emerging threats
- Coordinate emergency preparedness response plans for public health crises
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to address health disparities
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Prepare detailed reports for county leadership and regulatory bodies
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote preventive health measures
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Experience with emergency preparedness and crisis management protocols
- Strong grant writing and project management skills
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
