Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform intervention strategies
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses including pandemic planning and natural disaster protocols
- Lead community outreach initiatives to improve vaccination rates and chronic disease management
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to create accessible health service networks
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Present policy recommendations to county commissioners and public health board
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in municipal or county public health programs
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS, R, or SAS
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Demonstrated experience with community health assessments and intervention design
- Strong grant writing and budget management capabilities
- Excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
