Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize interventions
- Develop culturally competent health education materials and community outreach strategies
- Coordinate emergency preparedness response protocols for public health threats
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations on health initiatives
- Monitor program effectiveness through KPI tracking and prepare impact reports
- Advise policymakers on public health regulations and funding opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance
- Valid Kansas driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for community events
- Strong written communication skills for policy briefs and public reports
