Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting Nashville's diverse communities
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis to identify emerging health threats
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations for outreach initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead crisis response during public health emergencies (e.g., disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Prepare detailed reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
- Mentor junior staff and train community health workers on best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (required)
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit public health roles
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willing to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in health data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong understanding of Tennessee public health regulations and Title X requirements
- Experience managing budgets over $500,000 and multi-stakeholder projects
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
