Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Coordinate cross-sector partnerships with healthcare providers, nonprofits, and community leaders
- Develop health education materials and conduct outreach to underserved populations
- Monitor program compliance with local, state, and federal public health regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for public health policy recommendations
- Lead emergency response initiatives for public health crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related health science field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program development or administration
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R)
- Valid Kentucky Public Health Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Demonstrated experience with community-based participatory research methods
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health data privacy regulations
