Responsibilities
- Design and implement community health assessment programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Develop culturally responsive health education materials for diverse populations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits on health equity initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $500K+ annually
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county leadership and state health departments
- Lead emergency response planning for public health crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in community health program implementation
- Proficiency in epidemiological software (e.g., SAS, R, or Epi Info)
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean record
- Experience with grant writing and federal reporting (CDC/HRSA preferred)
- Knowledge of Maryland public health regulations and Title X requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential preferred
