Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community health improvement plans targeting chronic disease prevention and maternal/child health initiatives
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis to identify emerging public health threats
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits to coordinate health education programs
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on health equity and vulnerable populations
- Lead crisis response coordination for public health emergencies
- Prepare comprehensive reports on health metrics and program outcomes for leadership review
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Virginia Public Health Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with community health assessment methodologies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits
