Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community health assessment programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and prioritize interventions
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers and community organizations to deliver outreach programs
- Prepare comprehensive public health reports and policy recommendations for state compliance
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on chronic disease prevention and health education
- Respond to public health emergencies and participate in disaster preparedness drills
- Train community health workers and volunteers on public health protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Experience with community outreach in multicultural environments
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Knowledge of CDC/Florida DOH reporting requirements and HIPAA compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
