Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform strategic interventions
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to coordinate emergency preparedness responses
- Develop educational materials and community outreach campaigns on health equity topics
- Monitor compliance with federal/state public health regulations and reporting requirements
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Evaluate program effectiveness using KPIs and adjust strategies based on data insights
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in government/public health administration
- Proven expertise in health equity initiatives and community-based participatory research
- Strong statistical analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS/R or similar tools
- Valid California Public Health Certification (CPH) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for policy development and public speaking
