Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during health crises (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters)
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and recommend interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and NGOs to promote vaccination campaigns
- Lead community outreach initiatives on chronic disease prevention and wellness
- Prepare grant proposals and manage public health budgets
- Advise policymakers on health equity strategies and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health agency settings
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in epidemiological data analysis and SPSS/R programming
- Strong crisis management experience with documented emergency response leadership
- Demonstrated success in securing health-focused grants ($500k+ preferred)
- Valid California Driver's License and ability to travel county-wide
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Hmong strongly preferred
