Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting community health disparities
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and outbreak investigations for reportable diseases
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations on health initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Deliver health education workshops and create accessible public health resources
- Analyze health data to identify trends and recommend policy interventions
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses for public health crises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Valid Virginia driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
