Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare legislation and regulatory changes for impact assessment
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for public health initiatives
- Collaborate with legislators and community stakeholders on health equity projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for state leadership
- Monitor federal compliance requirements for grant-funded programs
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on emerging health issues
- Manage public comment periods for proposed health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years government or non-profit policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Illinois residency required for state employment
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong written communication skills for policy documents
- Experience with federal/state grant compliance protocols
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) preferred
