Responsibilities
- Analyze complex healthcare legislation and recommend policy modifications to senior leadership
- Prepare comprehensive research reports and data-driven briefings for state legislators
- Coordinate interagency initiatives on public health emergency preparedness programs
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies for health education initiatives
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess impacts on Texas healthcare systems
- Manage grant applications and compliance documentation for public health funding
- Present policy recommendations at public hearings and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of policy analysis or government relations experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of Texas legislative processes and healthcare regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with legislative drafting experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Department of Public Safety clearance
- Experience managing federal/state grant compliance and reporting requirements
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
