Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call documentation and incident records
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and caller guidance
- Operate radio communication equipment per FCC protocols
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year call center or customer service experience
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass criminal background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- National Emergency Number Association (NENA) certification preferred
- Experience with CAD/RMS systems (e.g., Motorola, Hexagon)
