Responsibilities
- Process 9-1-1 calls and dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources with precision
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications equipment
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency medical instructions to callers
- Participate in continuous training on new technologies and protocols
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Valid Virginia driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass extensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Proficient in typing (40+ WPM) and computer applications
- Strong situational awareness and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with emergency systems or public safety dispatching preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
