Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and dispatch appropriate law enforcement, fire, and medical resources
- Maintain accurate logs of all communications and incident details
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Provide crisis intervention and critical information to first responders
- Monitor multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Adhere to strict protocols for sensitive information handling
- Collaborate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong situational judgment and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in computer systems and multi-tasking abilities
