Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and business lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor radio communications for all field units
- Update and maintain accurate status reports in real-time
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year call center/public safety experience
- Valid California Driver's License
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems (training provided)
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Fluency in English and Spanish (bilingual candidates strongly preferred)
