Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Dispatch appropriate emergency units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation per NENA standards
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Participate in continuous training for certification maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1-year customer service or call center experience
- NENA Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification within 6 months
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD systems
- Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish skills highly desirable
