Responsibilities
- Manage emergency communications via 911 lines and radio systems during weekend shifts
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units with precision and urgency
- Maintain detailed incident documentation in CAD systems
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during complex weekend incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Conduct weekend shift briefings and equipment checks
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years public safety dispatch experience
- Current EMT or CPR certification
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems (e.g., Motorola, Avtec)
- Typing speed: 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Clear criminal background check and polygraph clearance
- Valid Arizona driver's license
