Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated city areas during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Respond to emergency calls, incidents, and citizen requests with urgency
- Conduct thorough incident documentation and report preparation
- Collaborate with emergency services for coordinated responses
- Maintain situational awareness of community safety concerns
- Enforce city ordinances and state regulations during night operations
- Provide visible security presence at key municipal facilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Ability to remain alert and make sound decisions overnight
- Pass background check and drug screening
