Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and provide first aid/CPR during critical incidents
- Patrol designated areas to deter crime and ensure public safety compliance
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and code violations with meticulous documentation
- Collaborate with local agencies during disaster response and emergency management
- Conduct safety inspections and enforce municipal ordinances
- Develop community outreach programs to enhance public safety awareness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Virginia driver's license and clean driving record
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 2 years public safety or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Successful completion of background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
