Responsibilities
- Enforce municipal ordinances and state laws with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Respond to emergency calls and conduct thorough investigations
- Collaborate with community organizations to develop safety initiatives
- Maintain accurate incident reports and digital evidence records
- Participate in proactive patrol operations and crime prevention programs
- Provide public education on safety protocols and emergency preparedness
- Utilize advanced surveillance and communication systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate's degree preferred
- Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE) required
- Minimum 2 years law enforcement or public safety experience
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass rigorous physical fitness assessment
- Proficiency in digital evidence management systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) certification highly desirable
- Successful completion of background investigation and polygraph
