Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive patrols in assigned night shift zones to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and public disturbances with professional crisis management
- Enforce municipal ordinances, state laws, and federal regulations with impartiality and integrity
- Document incidents using digital reporting systems and maintain accurate case records
- Collaborate with dispatch, fire department, and EMS during multi-agency emergency responses
- Conduct security inspections of municipal facilities and critical infrastructure
- Participate in community outreach programs to build trust with night-shift residents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with minimum 2 years public safety or military experience
- Valid Colorado Peace Officer certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure overnight environments
- Proficiency in digital reporting systems and mobile data terminals
- Strong conflict resolution skills and de-escalation techniques
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass security clearance requirements
