As a Public Service Aide, you will be the first point of contact for many of our residents. You will assist in the intake and processing of vital documents, ensuring our county runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors at the front desk.
- Assist in the intake, verification, and processing of applications, permits, and public records.
- Perform accurate data entry into county databases and maintain organized physical and digital files.
- Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in person, directing requests to the appropriate department.
- Support administrative functions, including scheduling, filing, and preparing reports.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for all.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a customer service, administrative, or public-facing role is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a standard background check and a drug screen.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
