Responsibilities
- Manage incoming inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with high efficiency and professional courtesy.
- Coordinate community outreach programs and assist in the organization of public service events.
- Maintain accurate government records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist in the drafting and dissemination of public information, newsletters, and policy updates.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to resolve citizen concerns and improve overall service delivery metrics.
- Monitor compliance with city regulations and provide guidance to the public when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public administration, customer service, or a related government sector role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and government database management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Valid California driver’s license is required.
