Responsibilities
- Manage High-Volume Inquiries: Receive and process citizen inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
- Process Applications: Review, verify, and file various government applications and permit requests according to established regulations.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases and filing systems using government-standard software.
- Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and prepare official correspondence, reports, and administrative documents.
- Customer Assistance: Assist the public with navigating city services and provide guidance on available programs and resources.
- Office Coordination: Coordinate meetings, manage calendars for department heads, and assist with general office logistics.
- Compliance: Ensure all administrative tasks adhere to city policies, state laws, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Service is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience in a government or corporate setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government case management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening as required for government employment.
