Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach programs for vulnerable populations
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state funding initiatives
- Analyze demographic data to identify service gaps and prioritize resource allocation
- Coordinate inter-departmental projects with Parks, Health, and Education departments
- Lead public forums to gather constituent feedback on service improvements
- Prepare comprehensive reports on program effectiveness for City Council review
- Oversee a team of 3-5 community liaison specialists
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in government/non-profit program management
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau)
- Illinois driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with federal grant management (SAM.gov compliance)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Chicago's diverse communities and social services landscape
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for community events
