Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policies aligned with CDC guidelines and local community needs
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize interventions
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to implement public health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and stakeholder presentations
- Secure grant funding through federal/state programs (HRSA, CDC)
- Manage community outreach programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Evaluate policy effectiveness using KPIs and adjust strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of government/public sector policy experience
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Expertise in health policy frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Strong grant writing and federal funding acquisition experience
- Texas driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with bilingual Spanish preferred
