Responsibilities
- Oversee municipal infrastructure projects including road maintenance, water systems, and public facilities
- Manage departmental budgets exceeding $2M with strict fiscal accountability
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for grant applications and compliance
- Implement sustainable development initiatives aligned with Miami's 2050 Vision Plan
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and urban planners
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and public hearings
- Ensure all projects adhere to OSHA, ADA, and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years experience in municipal infrastructure management
- Valid Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification
- Proven track record of managing capital improvement projects
- Advanced proficiency in GIS mapping and construction management software
- Strong knowledge of Florida Sunshine Law and public procurement processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Ability to obtain FEMA NIMS certification within 6 months
