Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes and project specifications
- Review engineering plans and documentation for accuracy
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public works projects
- Ensure ADA and environmental regulations are strictly followed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in civil engineering or construction technology preferred
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection or related experience
- Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Inspector certification
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and safety standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
