Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for road maintenance, park construction, and utility repairs
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely
- Assist in emergency storm response and debris cleanup operations
- Install traffic control signs and barricades for public safety
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA standards
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with hand tools and basic construction equipment
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
