Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including road maintenance, landscaping, and debris removal
- Operate light machinery (mowers, sweepers, trimmers) with on-the-job training
- Assist in stormwater drainage system inspections and repairs
- Support park facility maintenance and public space beautification
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends during emergencies
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool maintenance skills
- Strong teamwork ethic and reliability
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
