Responsibilities
- Inspect public infrastructure projects for compliance with engineering specifications and safety regulations
- Review construction plans and permit applications for accuracy and completeness
- Document findings through detailed reports and digital records management
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Conduct field inspections of roads, drainage systems, and utilities
- Prepare violation notices and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology preferred
- 3+ years of construction inspection or public works experience
- ICBO Inspector Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of municipal codes and construction standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
