Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with approved plans and municipal codes
- Document observations and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Review contractor submittals and technical specifications
- Investigate citizen complaints related to construction activities
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and utility companies
- Issue notices of violation and ensure corrective actions
- Participate in plan reviews and pre-construction meetings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years construction inspection experience
- ICC certifications in Building/Plans Review or equivalent
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in construction documentation software
- Knowledge of municipal codes and construction standards
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in field conditions and walk construction sites
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools
