Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city engineering standards
- Review development plans and permit applications
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate public complaints regarding infrastructure issues
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental guidelines
- Utilize GIS mapping systems for project documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3+ years construction inspection experience
- CA Inspector Certification (QACI/ACI preferred)
- Proficiency with CAD and GIS software
- Valid California Driver's License
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Ability to work in field conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
