Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of multimodal transportation projects (bike lanes, pedestrian pathways, transit infrastructure)
- Manage capital improvement budgets exceeding $5M with rigorous compliance oversight
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to align projects with equity and accessibility goals
- Conduct technical analysis using GIS modeling and traffic simulation software
- Oversee contractor compliance with federal/state regulations and environmental standards
- Prepare complex engineering reports and present findings to city council committees
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-departmental project teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive infrastructure project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and transportation modeling software
- Proven track record of delivering complex public works projects on time and budget
- Strong understanding of ODOT standards and federal grant requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for public presentations
- Experience with community engagement and equity-focused project planning
