Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes, permits, and safety standards
- Review engineering plans and specifications for infrastructure projects
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public works issues
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Enforce municipal regulations through notices and citations when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection or public works experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license and clean driving record
- ICBO certifications in building inspection or related field preferred
- Proficiency with inspection software and GIS mapping tools
- Strong communication skills for public interaction and report writing
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and traverse construction sites
