Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate comprehensive policy proposals for urban development, economic growth, and social equity initiatives
- Analyze complex data sets and legislative trends to inform strategic recommendations
- Lead cross-functional task forces with city departments, community stakeholders, and legislative bodies
- Prepare detailed policy briefs, impact assessments, and implementation roadmaps
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess implications for local governance
- Present findings to elected officials, public hearings, and advisory committees
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee research quality assurance protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in municipal/government setting
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Proven track record of policy recommendations adopted at city/county level
- Valid Kentucky driver's license with clean record
- Experience with Louisville Metro government operations preferred
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for public presentations
