- Review permit applications and construction plans for regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with city engineers on infrastructure improvement projects
- Provide technical guidance to property owners regarding building regulations
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and project documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in construction inspection preferred
- Minimum 2 years of construction inspection or field experience
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Knowledge of building codes and OSHA safety standards
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with inspection software and digital reporting tools
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
