Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans and safety standards
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and city staff to resolve technical issues
- Enforce city ordinances, zoning regulations, and construction codes
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public infrastructure
- Utilize GIS mapping and inspection software for documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years construction inspection experience
- Valid Arizona Driver's License and reliable transportation
- ICBO Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Experience with construction inspection software (e.g., Cityworks, Accela)
