Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes, plans, and specifications
- Review permit applications and project documentation for accuracy
- Investigate complaints and resolve field issues with contractors
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain digital records
- Coordinate with engineers, developers, and utility providers
- Enforce safety regulations during construction phases
- Assist in emergency response for infrastructure failures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; AA/AS degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years construction inspection experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- ICBO certification or equivalent required
- Knowledge of ICC/OSHA standards and municipal codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and inspection software
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and climb scaffolding
