Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of transportation infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and sidewalks
- Verify compliance with city codes, federal regulations, and project specifications
- Document inspection findings using digital reporting systems and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city stakeholders to resolve compliance issues
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in developing inspection protocols and safety procedures
- Participate in emergency response for infrastructure failures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection or civil engineering experience
- Valid Oregon Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Engineering Technician (CET) license
- Proficiency with inspection software and CAD/BIM systems
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and municipal construction codes
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physical environments
- Strong communication skills for reporting complex technical information
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- Government contracting or public sector experience preferred
