Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, park upkeep, and drainage projects
- Operate hand/power tools safely (shovels, saws, jackhammers) under supervision
- Assist in traffic control setup and work zone safety protocols
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment inspection reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas driver's license (Class C minimum)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to follow verbal instructions precisely
