Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, sidewalk construction, and drainage system upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery safely including excavators, loaders, and asphalt compactors
- Assist in stormwater management projects and erosion control measures
- Conduct routine inspections of public works facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute city improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Class D driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
