Responsibilities
- Perform Manual Labor: Execute digging, grading, paving, and general construction tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, rollers, dump trucks, and skid steers.
- Maintenance: Maintain public roads, sidewalks, drainage systems, and utility lines.
- Site Cleanup: Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and free of hazards at the end of each shift.
- Inspections: Assist in inspecting work areas for compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- License: Valid Class C Driver’s License required.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is a plus but not always required for entry-level roles.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic understanding of construction tools and safety protocols.
