Responsibilities
- Maintain City Infrastructure: Perform daily duties including pothole repair, sidewalk maintenance, and street sweeping.
- Seasonal Operations: Assist with snow removal, ice control, and leaf collection during peak seasons.
- Equipment Operation: Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, rollers, and skid steers under supervision.
- Sanitation Support: Collect and transport trash, debris, and recyclables from public rights-of-way.
- Graffiti & Vandal Removal: Remove graffiti and repair public property damage to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and municipal regulations at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with a diverse crew to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor for 8+ hours a day in various weather conditions.
- Lifting Ability: Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License (Class C) required.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not always required for entry-level labor.
- Availability: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and shift work as needed.
