Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, backhoes, and pavement cutters
- Respond to emergency weather events (hurricanes, floods) for infrastructure repairs
- Assist in park maintenance, landscaping, and recreational facility upkeep
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of construction or public works experience
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and physical labor environments
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and technical schematics
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
