Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, park upkeep, and facility groundskeeping
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, trenchers) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in construction projects including excavation, material handling, and debris removal
- Conduct routine inspections of public works assets and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met
- Adhere to OSHA standards and city safety guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Preferred: 1+ years construction or public works experience
