Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and landscape maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, tampers) and hand tools safely
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, and drainage system maintenance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in emergency response during natural disasters or infrastructure failures
- Maintain accurate work logs and report equipment maintenance needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and flagging procedures
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
